Sound Crew

PURPOSE

  • To enhance the worship experience by delivering the best sound quality during all church services. We also seek to nurture volunteers’ spiritual growth and develop their technical skills.

Coordinator

  • Ms Loh Wai Meng

FUNCTIONS/ ACTIVITIES

  • We operate the audio and video system for all worship services and church functions including major events like Christmas Candlelight Services and Sunbeam Choir Concerts. Members are also encouraged to participate in bible studies, retreats and fellowship sessions which are conducted regularly.
  • The Sound Ministry operates in teams of two to four members, serving the Hall or Sanctuary. While one person operates the soundboard, the other controls the in-circuit the video cameras. The third or forth member helps to mix sound for recording purposes and generally acts as a backup.

EXPECTATIONS/ PRE-REQUISTIES

  • All that is required is a heart for the Lord and a willingness to commit to the Ministry.
Technical knowledge is not a pre-requisite. Basic training by qualifies personnel is provided. New members will be given lots of hands-on practice during rehearsals and worship services.

MINISTRY’S ATTRACTION

  • We offer an opportunity to serve God while gaining useful skills in enhancing sound quality and operating audio-visual equipment.

Time Commitment

  • Teams are scheduled by roster. Teams are committed only to one of the services and are scheduled on alternative weeks. We hope to lighten the members’ service load with more volunteers joining us.
